HAACK SCUBA

COZUMEL, MEXICO

Dive Trip

May 15 – 21, 2005

***COZUMEL UPDATE*** We were able to get a good deal on the airfare for the trip – and we’ve lowered the trip price to $1,175!! More good news is that we fly out of Cedar Rapids. We leave on Sunday, May 15th at 7:15 am, and return on Saturday, May 21st at 9:39 pm. We’ve got a few spaces left for the trip – but the airfare deadline is March 20th – after that you make your own travel arrangements. Let us know as soon as possible to reserve your space!

Join us in sunny Mexico for a SCUBA vacation! Cozumel is known world-wide for excellent drift diving. We’ll be diving the pristine reefs of the National Marine Park on the southwestern shore, just a few minutes boat ride from our hotel. The reefs range from 35’ to 100’ deep, and many contain spectacular swim-throughs. You’ll see huge Angelfish, Green and Hawksbill Turtles, Stoplight Parrotfish, and schools of tropical fish in just about every color you can imagine!

This is a wonderful opportunity for you to complete your Open Water Training dives in the warm turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea off the tropical island of Cozumel. And as a bonus, you’ll have the opportunity to earn your Advanced Open Water certification during the week, for the price of the manual only. That’s a $125 savings! Other Specialty certifications like Boat Diver, Drift Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox and Underwater Photographer are available at special low prices.

There is a very nice reef for shore diving right in front of our hotel, and we’ll be using this area for the OW Training dives. You’ll also have the opportunity to do a Night Dive on the same reef.

Accommodations are ocean front rooms with balcony and mini fridge. There is a freshwater swimming pool, a beach area, and hammocks for lounging during the surface intervals. Our dive shop is on site and the boat picks us up at our dock. The small restaurant next door serves breakfast and lunch at a very reasonable price.

The charming town of San Miguel is within walking distance of our hotel, and becomes the island’s center for night life in the evenings. You’ll have many shops, restaurants and activities to choose from.

The price of the trip is $1,275* and includes airfare, hotel, transfers to/from the airport, five two-tank boat dives (four for OW students), unlimited shore diving, equipment rental and your Open Water and Advanced Open Water certifications.

Space is limited, and we expect this trip to fill up fast! A non-refundable deposit of $200 is required to hold your spot. For more information, contact Jim or Carol Haack, 319-337-6749 or contact us at haack@infionline.net
