Greetings, divers!
Here is some late-breaking news about the next few Gatherings. First, our next Pizza Feeding Frenzy, scheduled for April 2, will be a camera show-and-tell. Photography is a favorite pastime of divers, and the Gathering is no exception. Many of you take pictures. There are a lot of different cameras being used, both film and digital, and a lot of good experience with using those cameras. We’d like to make this an opportunity for the photographers in the group to spend a few minutes (maybe on the order of 5 minutes each), describing the system they use and how it works. Please also bring a few of your best photographs to showcase. There is no competition, prizes will not be awarded, and the only reward you will get is the unabashed admiration of your fellow divers! Plan to be there at 6:30 for conversation, pizza at 7:00, and then we’ll get into the cameras. This should be a fun and interesting evening for all.
The May Gathering is scheduled for May 14th. Doug and Lisa Skilang will be talking to us about Palau. Their program will include information on diving, island life and stories from the perspective of someone who has actually lived there. This will be a great program! Be sure to reserve the date on your calendar now.
