Hey gang,
The June open water training dives will be held on the weekend of June 5/6 at Haigh Quarry, Kankakee, Illinois (www.haighquarry.com).
Haigh Quarry is a very good training facility in a park-like setting. They charge a $20/day entry fee (you are responsible for this). We will meet at the quarry at noon on Saturday. We will do two or three dives Saturday (depending on numbers of students, weather and water). We will finish up the last dive or two Sunday morning. Again, depending on numbers of students and how many dives we get in on Saturday, we should be heading for home shortly after noon. There are recommendations for lodging on the Haigh Quarry website.
Space is limited for this weekend and spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Please let me know if you'd like to join us as soon as you can.
As always, those of you who are certified are more than welcome to come on out for a fun day or two of diving. Gear rental and air fills are avilable at moderate cost.
