Hey Jim,
Sorry - forgot to pass this along. Attached are rate sheets and info. about diving in Palau. Doug and I and our boys will be there on the evening of June 8 and we will be staying for about 3 weeks. We have not made our diving plans yet, but will be trying to figure that out soon. People can get reasonable flights through Continental Airlines and Continental Micronesia.
You are welcome to pass this along to anyone interested and we will help arrange things. Although there were a few of the cheaper hotels listed below and a range in the attached materials, Sam recommended the Sea Passion Hotel. ?? Neither Doug or I can remember it - may be new since we have been back. We will be staying with family, but again will certainly help to get things set up for people and would like to dive with group members.

Hey Sam!
It has been a long time, but Doug and I are planning a summer trip back to Rota and Palau. When the local dive group got wind of our plans, a bunch decided that they wanted to come too. Our original plan was to come with Mark and Lynne Michael, but (if you didn't hear) Mark has been having cancer treatments in Hawaii for the past month (He is doing pretty well) but they may just stick around Rota for the summer. We'll see. We will be flying out June 7th to Guam and I have yet to purchase tickets to Palau, but it looks like June would probably be the best time - then to Rota after that. I think Doug had mentioned in a previous email ?? that Mark and Elaine (Cramer) would be coming too, but they have decided to take the trip later in the summer and will be in contact.
In any case, we will be coming for about three weeks to visit family and hopefully get some diving in too. The dive group is interested in coming for 2 weeks, doing a lot of diving and possibly some kayaking too. They are looking for a package of some sort and options for places to stay (modest) - I don't think any are interested in the resort. I'd like to help plan the trip for the group, but don't really know where to start. So I thought we'd start with you. Do you do any flight arrangements or do they need to do that on this end? Do you have group packages? I talked to a member of the group today and she said she would find out how many are committed. I realize this will be easier when I have firm dates and firm numbers, but if you could help get the ball rolling it would be great.
