The allure of the deep – there’s no denying that divers find an attraction to doing deep dives – deeper than 60 feet – in search of adventure. Deep wrecks, flying over the edge of a wall that drops off into the abyss… these things and more lead divers to seek waters beyond the 60 foot “Open Water Diver” guideline. But to dive deep safely, there are additional preparations that need to be made, additional factors to be considered and additional techniques that need to be learned. The PADI Deep Diver course gives you the knowledge and teaches you those skills that you will need to do deep dives safely. Deep Diver requires 4 dives over two days (3 dives if you completed your Advanced open Water training with me). The minimum pre-requisite to take the Deep Diver course is Advanced Open Water or equivalent.

Buoyancy – it’s one of the most important skills for a diver, whether you are hovering along a wall or taking pictures on a reef. Good buoyancy keeps us off the bottom, improves visibility and overall just makes a dive easier and more enjoyable. Unfortunately, as land creatures it is also one of the most difficult skills for a diver to learn. During the two dives of the Peak Performance Buoyancy class you will learn proper weighting, proper trim and proper techniques for diving gracefully and effortlessly while maximizing your enjoyment of the underwater world.

Both the Deep Diver and Peak Performance Buoyancy classes will be held the weekend of July 19/20 at Haigh Quarry in Kankakee, Illinois. The cost of the Deep Diver course is $125. The cost of the Peak Performance Buoyancy course is $85, or take both for the discounted price of $200!

Please contact me to sign up or for more information.
