SEATASEA FREE SEMINARS AND EVENTS
Seatasea Discussions, Seminars and Demo's are open to anyone with an interest in attending. There is no charge. These are held in the classroom at Seatasea unless indicated. These seminars are lead by local divers, paddlers and swimmers with a deep interest in their topic and a want to "spread the word" to others with an interest. This may include topics that range from Technical Diving, Commercial Diving, Dive Equipment, Paddle Selection, Board Types, Rigs, Travel and any topic of general interest. It is our intent to try and provide the community with as many seminars as we can.

UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY (Feb 22 - 6 - 8pm) - "Sick of looking at fish tails!" This seminar is for you! What makes a great underwater picture and how do you take them? An introduction to underwater camera's, housings, (including the new Sea & Sea DX-750G Digital), strobes and capabilities along with basic tips on how to take great underwater pictures and Sea Processing Development. "SCUBA - BEYOND THE BASICS" (March 6, 2007 - 6 - 8pm) A free seminar for Open Water divers and anyone else without technical training to learn new ideas about equipment configurations, diving skills and techniques that make diving easier, more enjoyable, and safer. Some topics covered will be dive teams, dive preparation, dive planning, equipment configuration, diving skills, and ascent management. "BE SAFE" - DIVE PLANNING REVIEW ( March 20, 2007 - 6 - 8pm) Seatasea's "BE SAFE" Dive Planning Seminar will reintroduce you to the hazards of diving as they relate to Decompression Illness and prevention with proper dive planning using the PADI Recreational Dive Planner Tables and dive planning using a dive computer. SCUBA EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE, CARE & OPERATION (April 3, 2007 - 6 - 8pm) - Want to learn to take great care of your equipment...save some serious peso's on equipment repairs...and learn more about how it works? Then this seminar is for you. A detailed introduction to proper care of your equipment including operation and care of your Regulator, BC, Dive computer and wetsuits. (Nope-- we are not teaching people how to overhaul their regulators...but we will be taking some apart and teaching you how to keep them clean!
