HAWKEYE SCUBA CLUB AUGUST 2008 Club Meeting At the monthly board meeting it was decided that this months regular club meeting would be at the Sushi House. This is a Japanese & Chinese Restaurant located at 2665 Edgewood Parkway SW near the Wynnsong 12 Cinema. Their full menu is shown in the Restaurants-Menus section of the DEX Plus yellow pages. This should be an adventure in eating and a fun evening. August Club Diving Event With everyone's crowded schedule and having just returned from Hawaii, it was decided to scrap the Illinois dive in favor of something closer to home with less travel time. So this months dive will be at Pleasant Creek Lake on Saturday the 16th. We will be assembling at 10:00 am in the area of the south boat ramps. This dive will center around an underwater fishing tournament. You will need a fishing licenses and very minimal fishing gear (much cheaper than a tank of gas to Illinois). Details will be gone over at the meeting on Thursday. Prizes will be awarded. We will be stopping at Godfathers Pizza on BlairsferryRd. after the dive. There will be a boat or pontoon to take divers to the actual diving area and bring them back.
